Merry Christmas dance community and dance lovers! Hope you have a fun filled New Years. Today is my last day for the year. I will be back on board on Monday 24th January, 2011 after a holiday of camping on the west coast of the South Island. I'm looking forward to the lush green scenery, walking tracks, swimming holes, dancing amongst the bush, camp fires, warm weather, rain, and mozzies!
I have enjoyed my year with the South Island Dance Network. I was able to be involved in The Dunedin Fringe Festival, Dance Otakau's International Dance Day, Dance Southland's Dance Your Southern Sox Off, and the Tertiary Dance Festival. I have worked hard on the newsletter and am learning new things all the time to improve its overall look, and I have spent the year listing Dunedin and Otago's diverse dance events and workshops on our website. In 2011 watch out for the Dunedin trial of Dancing Like The Stars. A primary school dance programme that has been successfully running in Christchurch for four years.
