Karin has been involved in the Dunedin performing arts community since 1995 as a freelance actor and physical theatre practitioner, deviser, director, tutor, arts administrator, event coordinator and as a creative producer.  Karin draws on a wealth of skills and experience, especially from her more recent involvement with the Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust from 2006 - 2009, where she was the 2008 and 2009 Festival Coordinator undertaking, eg. strategic planning, production managment, programming events, budget development, artist and staff recruitment, volunteer coordination, artist liaison, promotions, office and financial administration, funding (and much more!).   Karin was also the event coordinator for the 2008 and 2009 Dunedin Midwinter Carnivals, and coordinator for the ambitious "FRinge@poRT" event in Port Chalmers in 2006. Now based in Christchurch, Karin has worked freelance in performing arts management for a host of independent artists, projects and organisations since 2009. From Karin's involvement and track record in the arts, she was a successful participant of the inaugural Creative New Zealand's "Touring New Zealand Course", run by THE EDGE, Auckland in 2010.   Recent dance-related projects and productions include:   Creative Producer/Dramaturg - Corrupt Productions "Random Acts of God & Other Stories", New Media Club, Christchurch, December 2010. Producer/Project Manager - Tertiary Dance Festival Aotearoa Trust "2010 Tertiary Dance Festival", Dunedin, July 2010. Producer - Dance Lab Otago "Underground Renaissance", Allen Hall Theatre, Dunedin, October 2009.       “Karin worked with me throughout 2010 on a number of proposals, pitches, funding applications, sponsorship proposals and strategic planning. As a result my company, Corrupt Productions, has gathered momentum, developed its reputation and broadened its horizons with thanks to Karin's invaluable expertise. Most recently, she co-produced Random Acts of God & Other Stories, a large-scale production, to critical acclaim.” Julia Milsom, Artistic Director, Choreographer, Dancer, Corrupt Productions.                   “Karin is highly efficient at budget development and extremely good at formatting and articulating the necessary text and sections for funding applications and sponsorship proposals. Any new employer looking for these skills would be working with someone who looks across the various aspects of her selected organisation needs. From the experience of working with her on the Tertiary Dance Festival 2011 I can also vouch for her as perceptive and adept about marketing, promotion & publicity." Felicity Molloy, Creative Director, The Performing Arts School of New Zealand
