Ad Hoc Productions

Ad Hoc Productions is the newly formed performing arts initiative and brainchild of independent producer, director, deviser and performer, Karin Reid, which aims to work collaboratively to foster, produce, create and tour original live performance events with a diverse range of practitioners and art forms on a project-by-project basis.    Ad Hoc Productions has positioned itself to support the development of much needed infrastructure and opportunities for cabaret, contemporary dance, jazz, original comedy and devised physical theatre in Dunedin. Ad Hoc Productions aims to provide a platform for performing artists to push their artistic boundaries and skill-base through involvement and collaboration in the “Cab Sav” cabaret-theatre productions. In addition, opportunities to participate in the “Ad Hoc Cabaret: Blackboard Sessions” community project, by way of a process of invitation, provocation, rehearsal, direction and then presentation of work, is possible.   The multiple current and future projects of Ad Hoc Productions aim to benefit a broad, cross-section of the performing arts community and a wide audience demographic who are hungry for vibrant, sophisticated and high quality, locally produced contemporary performance.
