Description of Work: Parties, Hen’s Nights, Galas. Performance by Kashmir for suitable parties. Playshops – mix of performance and dance class – available for events such as Hen’s Nights (Kashmir). Performance by Kashmir and/or students for Galas and cultural events –straight belly dance, Middle Eastern folkloric, or a mix of both.

Brief Repertoire/ C.V.: Kashmir has been studying Middle Eastern dance since 1991, including attending 12 weeklong intensives with Egyptian master teachers (full list on website – www.raqs.co.nz/credentials.html). Kashmir’s speciality is beledi and Egyptian folkloric but also performs raqs sharqi. Folk styles include raqs assaya, sa`iidi, (urban) beledi, milaya lef, haggala, ghawazee, Nubian, Andalusian, and khaleegi.

Availability for Work: Flexible – but advance booking recommended. For speciality shows or multiple dancers a minimum of 4 weeks is required.
